  • Naming:

During the British rule, Chile's invasion of the region became unusual. People became outraged at Chile's oppression. When the news reached the British troops, they declared war on Chile with guns. The people also started coming in groups to enjoy the battle with joy, and the only sound in their mouths was "Let's kill Chil Mari". It is believed that the area was named Chilmari after this incident.
